How do you handle homework?

I am going nuts trying to get through the nightly homework. It has become a battleground and of course hubby is no help.

I can totally relate with you. My son is in the 5th grade and he brings home more and more homework all of the time. I have tried giving hime some free time as soon as he gets home from school. We then set a time that we will begin homework and that has seemed to help a lot. My hubby doesn't help either and its hard to work all day, make dinner, do laundry, clean house and get the homework done. But I think that when he knows exactly when we will start, it is less of a struggle to get him to do it.
