Hi everyone! I am one of those who moved to another state because of the job thing. My name is Cathy and I moved with my BF. He is the one working and I get to try to find something to do out of the home. It isn't easy when you only have the usual "Office" behind you but I am not giving up. It's hard staying home when you've worked all your life. I have one granddaughter (who I left behind :( ) I do get to talk to her on webcam though. She is almost 2 and really likes the computer thing.

Thank you. I am currently enrolled with Career Step. Changing career from 25 years of accounting to medical. Looks that will never be one of those fields that will end. I would love to do bookkeeping from home but I don't have a degree just many years of financial reporting and analysis. Everyone seems to want that degree. Raising two children on my own made it hard for me to go to school. Plus my last B&M position I left in bad standings. They told me I couldn't leave when I gave notice verbally so I sent my letter of resignation along with all my keys and spreadsheets that I had created via overnight service. They will not give me a good reference now. I was with this company for over 11 years and they really gave me a hard time about moving.

You'll find lots of bookkeeper jobs out there. Just keep at it.
