Most embarassing moment...

This is always a fun topic: your most embarassing moment ever, be it with a guy, at work, school, friends, party, whatever. And...go!

Oh...I remember this like it was yesterday...and it was 24 years ago...LOL....

My hubby..who was then my boyfriend and I decided to have a little cuddle time (wink) at his cousins house where he was staying...
It was a one bedroom apartment...with the living room being my hubby's space....

Well, his cousin decided to come home early this particular day....wow...what great timing.....

Silly me.....I decided I was going to run when his cousin came through the door....Problem being ....I ran to the bathroom...which was located on the other side of a Huge living room...and I forgot to grab the sheet.

Needless to say...his cousin never forgot that one either.

Lol, OMG.

I can remember mine too. I used to work in downtown Chicago and anyone who knows a little bit about downtown knows that its best to NOT drive there, traffic is horrendous. Anyway, it was my birthday weekend, so of course I did something nice for myself and got my hair done, manicure, pedicure, an outfit and a nice pair of shoes.

Soooo, I was waiting on the bus stop, thinking...no KNOWING that I looked good. I was really feeling myself. So the bus comes and before I tell you what happened let me say this. The buses have the fare boxes. So, there are like three steps to board the bus then the fare boxes to pay for your bus ride about one step away from the last step.

So, I board the bus, knowing that I look good and I trip up the stairs and hit my head on the fare box. I was so embarrassed that I wanted to crawl inside myself and become invisible right that moment. LOL. I wasn't hurt, but it sure did bring my "highfalutin" attitude down a notch or twenty.

I'm glad you weren't hurt...but man...that was fuuuuunnnnnyyyyy.

I know, I can laugh about it now, but I was so embarrassed that I didn't even stay on that bus. I got up and waited on the next bus. LOL. Girl, I was standing there saying to myself "Be invisible, be invisible....." LOL

hmmmm, there are so many....

I started dating my now husband in early Nov. and when Thanksgiving had arrived he asked if I would like to come to his parent's house for dinner and to meet his family (for the first time). I told him that I couldn't come for dinner but could come over for a visit after.
So when I got there the table had been cleared except for two large pillar candles...that had been burning aaaaallll day and they had a ton of liquid wax in them.
Any way, their dinning room table is an old style table (very rustic and beautiful) with benches on each side. I was sitting on one of the benches and when I got up from the table to get something to drink my boot caught the table cloth and the table cloth being yanked pulled the candles over AND of course hot liquid wax went all over the table, bench I was sitting on and the floor!!!! Did I mention they have carpet??? That happened about 9 years ago and they still tell the story of the candles and when there are candles burning they always give me a hard time.

Once, I was riding a ferry in Seattle...and a seagull pooped in my mouth. True story.

Yes, it seems like yesterday..........and it's been at least 10 years! There was a wedding at our church,a simple little hometown country church,BUT...the young lady was marrying into a very well- known, American aristocratic family,so we had limos everywhere,bringing the posh to our church,paparrazi snapping when they could get close enough,etc.There were several ushers waiting like groomsmen to take you from your carriage. {cars}
Well...as I was escorted up the steps towards the front door I felt a snap! Each step I took I could feel something sliding down my legs and as I reached the wide opening of the church,my half slip FELL :face: to my ankles in a slinky "whoosh"! There was just nothing I could do except try to step out of it,since the young man escorting me was still pulling my arm.Trying to go unnoticed, I casually reached down to pick it up quickly, just as he tugged my arm again, and down I went!! :affraid: On my knees ,holding my slip as everyone turned to see what the loud thump was!!! Probably thought I was tipsy! :drunken: Well,I got up ,stuffed my slip into my purse and FINALLY reached my seat! Of course my girlfriend with me snickered and that got us to smothered giggling,then tears! I'm sure the young married couple thought we were two ridiculosly sentimental old women ,crying at their wedding! :cry:

Okay, so here's the story.

Some friends and I were going back home on a day where in the morning we had some fog. You'd have to live in the Seattle area to totally understand this, but fog likes to hang out over the Puget Sound a lot. This causes the ferries to blow their fog horns a lot. Okay so, all of us were on the top deck that's totally open. It was covered in birds, and when the foghorn went off, it was so loud that I covered my ears. I think I was looking up and exclaiming something about the birds that went flying as the horn was going off, and yeah well. Bad timing.

Wow. I agree that was very bad timing.

Oh my goodness, this reminded me of the time when my now husband, then boyfriend first started living together back in '99. We had 2 parakeets and my nephew was 10 at the time and was spending the night. My husband let the parakeets go to fly around the house because my nephew asked him to. Well I was walking through the living room to go to the bathroom and I looked up at one of the birds and for some reason, I can't remember why, I had my mouth open. Well the bird pooped in my mouth. I was gagging like crazy. My husband and nephew were laughing so hard and it was a little embarrassing but more gross than that. I laugh about it now. :)

This reminds me of when I was a bridesmaid for my sisters wedding back in '94. I was 14 and I was already freaking out about walking down the aisle in front of over 300 people. The night before we had rehearsal and as I was rehearsing walking down the aisle I said, "I hope my heel doesn't get caught in the vent." My mom and sister said, "No, you'll be fine."

So fast forward to the actual wedding and my turn comes to walk down the aisle. Guess what? My heel got caught in the vent! All eyes were on me and the stupid camera man got right in my face with the camera like he had to make sure he got that on video! Ok my aunt rushes up to help get my heel out of the vent and I go my way to the front. Then the wedding is over and we all start to walk back down the aisle with our groomsmen. Well my sister and her now ex-husband start down the aisle and then I am right behind her and the Maid of Honor to met my groomsmen, and I accidentally step on my sisters tail, what do you call the long back end of the wedding dress? Well I can't remember but I stepped on it and she turned around and just smiled at me. That was very embarrassing for me!

So the reception comes around and I snuck some drinks and got drunk. I was 14 but I had friends there and we kept sneaking drinks into the bathroom. Plus since I was part of the bridal party I had to sit with them when we first got there for the toast. Everyone had a glass of Champagne in front of them, even me. My mom looked at the glass and said, "I don't think so." and tipped the glass over and stained my bridesmaid dress with champagne. My sister asked her what the big deal was for me to have one glass with them? My mom was so mad at me when we got home, lol. :)
