Fire Ant Bite Remedies

Since I had a little encounter today I thought I would share what works for me

WD 40 - yep I know it sounds odd but it draws out the sting and itch

• Ice Cube

• Apply meat tenderizer

• Apply a paste of salt or crushed aspirin.

• Desert Essence ® Tea Tree Oil

• Rub with fresh slice of onion

• Dab with hydrogen peroxide

• Immediately apply aloe gel

• Use Arnica Gel

The iffy (people have claimed to use them, but you could mess them up or they involve chemicals and I'd recommend trying something else first):

• For pustule and pustules, half bleach and half water applied immediately to the area, reduces pustule formation.

• Dab with ammonia

• Use dishwashing liquid

Apparently my home remedies didn't work as well as I thought. I have 4 more bites about the same size on the other side of my leg too.

I don't sell Watkins products so this is not an ad. My dad use to sell it and the best I ever found for ant bites is Watkins Menthol Camphor. Works well for mosquito bites too!

I have to update everyone.. That was day 2 of the bite. It's now very infected and I'm on antibiotics. Nasty little ants
