Hey everyone I really need help please give me ideas.

Hi everyone I hate to complain and normally i do not but it has been really bad for me lately. I need money like 2 weeks ago. I am doing all I can to not think about it but I just do not know what to do to get ahead. My car was broken into 2 nights ago. and it is pretty bad off. Insurance will not cover it because only had liability. Hubby hurt knee and will be out of work for a while. I am starting texting tonight but will be weeks before a paycheck. I have 2 children and very little food in house. It has been nothing but back luck. No money in bank and electric bill and all kinds of bills due. I do not know what to do. i need ideas on how to make some quick money. I have sold everything I can part with that is worth anything on ebay. I want to find something that I can do to make a little quick cash. Need about 300 to get caught up for now. But I do not want to do one of those payday loans. Very desperate and my daughter is sick and needs to be at a doctor but can't afford that either. What can I do. Please help. I am normally so upbeat but everyday it gets worse. What else can I do.

Send out more applications, even more texting companies. Can you have a garage sale? Ask any family members to help you out until you can get on your feet? Ask your bank to review your credit card limits, sometimes they will give you

Is your husband getting workman's comp or anything like that?

If you can write, check out some writing places, like associated content, constant content, maybe demand studios. It will take a little time to get into, but might start you generating more income.

I don't know if you are affilitated with any churches, but they usually can help in some way.

As far as your electric bill....contact your department of social services, and they should have a program in your county to help pay that for you. That also goes for temporary assistance with food and other bills.

I would try them out. There are so many programs that can help, you just have to seek them out. The best place to start is your local Department of Social Services, and see what they can do. God Bless. Don't worry it will work out.

There is a national program through United Way where you can get information on services and where to go and you just dial 211 and they are wonderful. They can tell you who can do utility assistance, foodbanks and more.

Oh geez I hate the way it feels to be in this predicament. Been there so many times before. You have gotten some great advice here. If you can check out Angelfood ministries for groceries. If you cannot do it now maybe as you get back on your feet you can. It is great for saving money. Call the churches, go to Social Services and see what is available, too. Ask Social Services for a list of agencies that might help too.
ChaCha is a good job to have too especially with the "pay me now" option. It took about a month to get it all started with receiving the ATM card but is certainly worth it. My husband uses it for gas mostly and then we have some extra too. Maybe your husband could do ChaCha or even text while you work on another approach on this. At least you will have something in the works to look forward too.
I know my husband went without a job for around 6 months recently. We had enough to get by on coming in but he likes to live way beyond just surviving while I am very frugal. We had checks bouncing right and left. I hated to go to the mailbox. He called the bank who froze our account. That way we weren't getting those daily redeposits on the bad checks and all the fees adding up daily too.
Take care and try and not let this get you down. We all go thru stuff because stuff happens. I wish I knew the magic words to make all this better.

sorry to hear this..i have been there so many times before and like others suggested..the churches and social services was a godesend for me. social services will give u emergency benefits if u qualify (basically within 24hr u will have cash assistance if that is what u need)i know this from experience.
I am too feeling the crunch right now, we recently moved and my fiance cannot find work, i was terminated from lionbridge 3 weeks ago. I have been applying EVERYWHERE and haven't gotten a break yet. I can only keep trying and pray.

I completely understand where you are right now, because I'm there too. I'm a single mom and have never been in this situation before. I've been applying to jobs, but nothing steady so far. Each time I think things are going to be ok and then they don't work out. I'm in the process of applying for some emergency assistance! I've never had to do this before, I should have applied before now, but I thought I was going to make it (now I hope I'm not too late)! Good luck to you!

Wonderful advice here. When I was in college paying my way, working my butt off I had to take advantage of this once. (I hadn't eaten for four days and decided I was tired of being hungry). I did everything as cheap as I could, got everything for free where I could, and eventually things got much better. They will for you too, just keep your head up.

I was where you are today, except I was a single parent. It was a scary time.

I made it through and so will you, even though you don't feel it this second.

Everyone has offered great suggestions regarding social services and emergency measures ie food banks and ministries. Seek them out and use them, they are helpful and there for that reason.

Also, I am unsure if you have any previous waitressing skills, but you may want to seek out possible cocktail waitressing in your area. I got hired by a bar with no experience when I needed it most, and from there I learned bartending skills. Great money daily!

And, FWIW, you can always look into St. Jude. You need not be a Catholic or Christian to solicit his help. He is in my main posse and as never let me down.
